It is the traditional homeland of the Tibetan people as well as some other ethnic groups such as Monpa, Qiang, and Lhoba peoples and is now also inhabited by considerable numbers of Han Chinese and Hui people. Tibet is the highest region on Earth, with an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft).

Itinerary
Day -1: Kathmandu – Nyalam ( 3600m)-153 kms.
Drive at 0530 a.m. from Kathmandu via Dhulikhel to Kodari (China / Nepal border). Drive from Jhangmu (Chinese immigration) to Nyalam, enjoying beautiful scenes of hills and mountains.
Day-2:
Nyalam – Lhatse (4050 m) 285 kms.)
After having breakfast about 08:30 am drive from Nyalam to Lhatse via LALUNGLA PASS (5050m.), enjoying view of Mt. Everest. Lhatse is a small but a beautiful Tibetan town situated in a valley.
Day-3:
Lhatse – Xigatse (3950m)- 150 Kms.)
Drive from Lhatse to Xigatse via 5200 pass, TASILUMPO monastery visit, inside special attraction of future Buddha and different Panchen Lamas, about 800 monks living there.
Day-4:
Xigatse – Gyanste (3950 m ) -90 Kms.)
Drive from Xigatse to Gyantse through the fertile Xigatse valley visit to KHUMBUM monastery, stupa and castle, monastery includes huge collection of Tibetan and Sanskrit books of Buddhism. The stupa is very giant and has 13 stories with 115 rooms. The fort stands to protect the monastery and the stupa, however, some were seemed damaged during the Cultural Revolution.
Day- 5:
Gyantse – Lhasa (3600m) – 261 kms.)
Drive from Gyantse to Lhasa crossing KAROLA [5010M] pass through a beautiful Yamdrok Tso Lake that takes about two hours drive, only to pass the lake, and then you will get your ultimate destination.
Day- 6: Sight Seeing in the morning Potala Palace, which was built on 7th century A.D. by the King Shrang Chang Gampo. However, 5th Dalai Lama built White portion of palace in 17th Century. After lunch you will visit Jokhang Temple, which lies at the center part of the city and has been worshipped as the most holy Buddha.
Day-7: Sight Seeing, usually, in the morning Norbulingka or Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace, which has occupied the big territory, and then you will see Sera monastery (famous horse Buddha, in the past there were about 5000 monks), as well as you will visit Deprung monastry and Barkhor Bazaar.
Day-8:
Drive from Lhasa to airport (approximately two hours) and back to Nepal. You will have chance to observe Mt. Kanchanjanga (8585m), Mt.Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m).
Note: Sight seeing program may be flexible according to group size.
Trip Includes
All transportation from Kathmandu to Kodari and Zhangmu to Lhasa or v.v by either private mini coach or Toyota Land Cruiser, sight seeing, main monastry entry fees, an English speaking guide, accommodation in twin sharing basis in the Hotel or Guest Houses, breakfast and necessary travel permits, flight ticket Lhasa – Kathmandu or KTM – Lhasa by Air China.
Trip Excludes
Emergency visa charge if not applied before one week, from the departure date airport tax, Nepal re-entry visa, lunch, dinner, drinks, refreshment, cancellation of flights, reconfirmation of tickets, photograph fee inside the monastery, insurance and extra costs resulted due to land slide, accident or any drastic change of the situation.
