Safety

Medical, Insurance and Helicopter rescue:

For serious medical emergencies when a patient can't walk or be carried out, a helicopter rescue can be arranged through the Royal Nepalese Army or by a private company. The service is expensive and must be paid for by the rescue. Your embassy or trekking agency may vouch for you but they won't pick up the tab a good reason to arrange for comprehensive trip insurance beforehand.

The helicopter company's must receive assurance of payment before it dispatches a flight. This will be provided by your trekking agency if you're with a group; embassies usually provide this for their citizens, but they may need to contact the family in advance. Registering at your embassy before a trek greatly expedites this process. Once the helicopter takes off, you're liable for the costs even if it doesn't find you.

Insurance:

We strongly suggested all our esteemed clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance package against medical, natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, and personal accident etc. If anything happening here on the route of trekking we assist you for rescue.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you obtain trave insurance which is valid overseas. It must cove unforeseen events such as emergency evacuatior and baggage loss. After booking, we will sent you information on insurance through Mutual Omaha or Travel Guard.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH

It is critical that persons with medical problems make them known to us before departure. The trip leader or trip doctor, if there is one, has the right to disqualify anyone at any time during the trip if he/she feels the trip member is jeopardizing the safety of the group. Refunds are not given under such conditions. Have a medical and dental check before you go. Only a few countries now require specific immunizations, but we generally recommend some vaccinations.

First aid kit:

First aid kit is important things for primary treatment on the route of trekking. We provide first aid kit on our package trek. However, we suggest you bring the following supplementary items with you: Anti-diarrhea tablets, blister pads, sterile plain and crepe bandages, tube of antiseptic cream, decongestants/antihistamines, throat lozenges, Paracetamol or aspirin and personal medicines as prescribed by your physician.
